Prof. Arvind H. Patel earned his B.Sc. (Microbiology) and M.Sc. (Microbiology), proving as a scholar from Gujarat University, India. Later, he joined the Department of Biochemistry of M.S. University of Baroda that generated great teachers and scientists (headed by a world-renowned biochemist and father of Nobel Laureate Venkatraman Ramakrishnan) as a research student in order to pursue his Ph.D. It assisted him in mastering teaching techniques in order to sharpen students’ knowledge in a particular discipline. With the combined efforts of Dr. Paresh Soni, M.D. and much hard-work, the institute became the key center for the Medical Laboratory Technology Program in the state of Gujarat, India.

Prof.Patel decided to enroll for a certificate course in Clinical Laboratory Science at UMDNJ - SHRP (now Rutgers –Newark, New Jersey) and completed it in 1996 with an excellent  GPA. Furthermore, Prof. Patel started his career as a successful microbiology instructor for nursing students at several community colleges for more than 15 years and as a blood bank technologist in hospitals for over 15 years in northern New Jersey.
